Privacy Policy for "Avera POS Cloud"

This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, and protected when using the mobile application "Avera POS Cloud" (the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information Collection
1.1 Personal Data
The App does not automatically collect personal data.
Personal data may be provided voluntarily by users, such as:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Email address
This data is used solely for operating the POS system.
1.2 Technical Data
- Device type and operating system version
- Crash reports
This data does not identify the user.
1.3 Camera Usage
- Scanning product barcodes
- Adding products in the POS system
Camera access is used only during scanning. No images or video are stored or transmitted.
1.4 Location Usage (Applicant role only)
The App uses location services exclusively for users with the Applicant role during field operations.
Purpose of Location Usage
Location is used as part of core user-facing functionality:
- Displaying the user’s current position on a map
- Showing customer addresses on a map
- Building routes to customer locations
- Providing navigation to selected customers
- Confirming visits during task execution
Shift-Based Usage
- Location is activated only after the user starts a work shift
- The user must explicitly initiate the shift
- Location is used only during active tasks
- Location stops when the shift is paused or ended
- No location usage occurs outside of active shifts
Background Usage
During an active shift, location may be used in the background solely to support navigation and route updates while the user is moving between customer locations.
This ensures continuous route guidance and accurate position updates, even when the app is minimized.
Limitations
Location is used strictly for in-app task functionality and is not used for continuous or passive monitoring outside of active work sessions.
2. App Permissions
- ✅ Camera — for barcode scanning
- ✅ Location — for map, navigation, and task execution (Applicant role only)
- ❌ Microphone is not used
- ❌ Contacts and device files are not accessed
3. Use of Information
- Operating the POS system
- Supporting field tasks and navigation
- Confirming task completion (client visits)
- User support
- Improving app performance and reliability
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or disclose personal data to third parties, except as required by law.
5. Data Storage and Protection
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data.
Location data is stored only as necessary for operational purposes and retained for a limited period.
6. Account and Data Deletion
Users may request deletion of their account and associated data.
